I want to thank everyone for using my software and visiting my site. I enjoy making programs that people use, its a real hobby that offers satisfaction like nothing else.
I plan on updating this site eventually, it may very well be that I will have software to sell licenses to (in the $5 to $25 range) so my time spent on programming is more justified. I would love programming to be more than a hobby for me, but it isn’t, and this the reality of things.
I will not be making any current freeware into shareware. Nothing that is now free will suddenly become pay software. The software I will sell will be separate from the popular software I offer free. I will likely incorporate a donate now button inside of the software and on the website besides the option to purchase tech support.
Even earning a few dollars per hour (literally) for my effort would justify spending some spare time on programming. Having decent license sales or donations would motivate me to put even more time into updates and new apps. However I understand the web is primarily a place of free things, and people are reluctant to spend on software.
But the fact is I have a child, wife, and family to dedicate ‘spare’ time to. After them, ‘spare’ time must go towards things that can (at least potentially) help to support them.
